Just about every home now has a Keurig coffee machine. We got ours about 2 years ago and the only time I use a traditional coffee maker is if we have a lot of guests and I want to save money by making a pot of coffee. The rest of the time, we exclusively use the Keurig and I love it. If I feel like having a midday cup of Joe or some hot chocolate or chai it’s quick and easy to just grab a k-cup and brew.

The downside is that the k-cups can add up after a while, especially if you drink more than one cup a day. On the weekends, I treat myself to some hazelnut coffee (the Gloria Jeans is my favorite kind), but during the week, I use the Keurig Reusable Filter. If you are not familiar with this device, I’m here to the rescue! The reusable filter holds ground coffee so you don’t always have to use the k-cups. I like to mix regular coffee and decaf, so I end up with a blend in my filter. I prepare it the night before, so all I need to do in the morning is place a cup on the Keurig (I mention this step because I may or may not have forgotten it once or twice in my morning daze and you will have quite a mess on your hands if you do the same) and pop the filter in and brew. You can also use flavored coffee as well for something extra special.

Here’s a link on Amazon if you’re searching for it. It’s very easy to use and is dishwasher safe. You also save on waste that is produced by the k-cups. We definitely use both, but I am so happy I came across the reusable filter.

Just for fun I also wanted to mention that you can find some really cute and unique k-cup holders. I found one on Amazon (what can’t you find there, honestly!) that matches my kitchen decor. They have lots of styles all over the place (Target, Walmart, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Kohls, etc.) but I like this one because it’s so unique and very stylish.71Qj-ZMQaxL._SL1500_Cheers!
