Garlic Parmesan Pretzels
Hello Friends! I hope you’re enjoying this wonderful holiday season. Things are in full swing here in Colorado. The only thing we’re missing is snow! We’re scheduled to get some tomorrow and are hoping (fingers crossed) for a white Christmas. All of the shopping and wrapping is done and all that’s left to do is cooking and baking.
We’ve got a couple of Christmas parties under our belt and have watched several of our favorite movies. We’re looking forward to the candlelight service at church on Christmas Eve. Every year on Christmas Eve we attend the candlelight service and then go to Red Robin for dinner. It’s not fancy, but there is no wait and we’ve been going for several years, so it’s now a tradition. My husband and I also exchange our “tacky” Christmas ornaments. I don’t even remember how it began, but we’ve been exchanging tacky ornaments since we were dating. It’s a fun and silly tradition and we love it! Our girls take a vote as to which of our ornaments wins for being the tackiest.
Do you have any fun holiday traditions? I’d love it if you’d share in the comments section with me. Traditions are so important to me!

Today, I’m sharing my recipe for Garlic Parmesan Pretzels with you. This is another super easy recipe that’s great for last minute get togethers. These pretzels are good year-round and come together in literally minutes. They are salty and savory and crunchy and are great for parties.
All you need is butter, pretzels, parmesan cheese and a few spices.
I’ve seen recipes online for Garlic Parmesan Pretzels with just garlic powder and parmesan, but I like to add some onion powder and black pepper for extra flavor and a little zip.
All you need to do is take a stick of unsalted butter and cut it into large chunks and place in a microwave-safe bowl with the garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper. Melt in :20 increments on high until the butter is completely melted, but not boiling.
Next, place the pretzels in a microwave-safe bowl. Mix the butter with the seasonings until well incorporated and pour over the pretzels. Add the parmesan cheese and stir. Place the seasoned pretzels in the microwave and heat on high for 2 minutes. Stir well and then heat on high for another 1:30. Remove and spread the pretzels out on a paper-lined cookie sheet to cool.
Let them cool completely and store in an air-tight container.
As you can see in the photos, I like to use the waffle-weave pretzels because they have a lot of surface area for the seasonings, but you can use any shaped pretzel your little heart desires.
Thank you so much for stopping by my kitchen! I hope you’ll make this recipe and come back on by and leave me a comment and let me know how you liked it. Also, snap a photo and tag #ketchumkitchen on Social Media so that I can see your creations.

These look delicious!
Thank you so much! I hope you’ll give the recipe a try. Would be great for a NYE or Superbowl party 🙂
Definitely something to try! I made something similar with oyster crackers and they were a huge hit! I love the parmesan cheese with these pretzels though 🙂
Oyster crackers are awesome! That sounds equally tasty.
And addicting too 🙂
That’s the price we pay 🙂
