My hubby bought this gift for me as somewhat of a joke several years ago. He found it in one of those, “As Seen on TV” stores in the tiny mall in Santa Maria where we lived in California before we moved to Colorado. My hubby has a great sense of humor and sometimes he likes to have a little fun with the gifts he gives the girls and I. As a terrible example, I got some crime scene tape and google eyes in my stocking this year. Nicole got some fake finger door hooks. He also gives the most wonderful, thoughtful gifts, but sometimes he cracks himself up and has to give us something he finds hilarious.
This particular gift ended up being a hit, rather than a gag gift. I loved it so much, in fact, that when the original one warped from being washed too much in the dishwasher, I had to buy a replacement. It is dishwasher safe, but after so many washes, some of the pieces would not longer fit together and when I would try and shut the lid to chop the veggies, I would have to eat my Wheaties first, otherwise it would be an epic fail!
This little chopper is so handy! I don’t use it every day, but when I have a lot of chopping to do, It comes in handy. It chops everything evenly, and you can move so quickly through a lot of chopping with it. There are no tears when chopping onions and it has different attachments, depending on what size you are looking for, so you can get just the right size. It is definitely something I will purchase again if my current one goes to the kitchen graveyard.
I got mine at Walgreens, but you can also find them on Amazon.
I would like to do a little giveaway to thank my wonderful subscribers. I am just getting started, so I know it’s not a huge giveaway, but I wanted to say thank you to everyone that has followed my blog, liked my posts, followed me on social media, commented, pinned my recipes and given me encouragement.
I am giving away one Vidalia Chopper. The giveaway is open until June 19 and is only open in the U.S. to anyone 18 or over. The winner will be selected at random from the comments. To be eligible, you need to follow my blog either via email or WordPress. Leave a comment letting me know what types of recipes you would be interested in seeing on the blog (be sure to include your email address so that I can contact the winner.) And, finally, follow ketchumkitchen on Facebook. Once the winner is selected, I will contact you via for your mailing address and mail a brand-new chopper to you.
Giveaway will close at midnight MDT on June 19.
Congratulations to Charlotte, you won! I used random.org to select the winner. I have sent you an email so that you can send me your mailing address and I will send you the prize. Thanks to everyone who participated.
