Do you have a foodie in your life, but don’t know what to get them for Christmas? If you’re not a foodie yourself, it may be difficult to know what to buy them, but I’m here to help! I put together a gift guide for some ideas of gifts that I believe any foodie would like. I know if Santa decides to bring me any of the gifts on this list, I will not complain! I’ve got selections here at all different price ranges and links to purchase them all online to make it easy to shop.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email and I will try and help you find the right gift. Well, the right gift for the foodie in your life. If Grandpa or your boss is impossible to buy for and they are not foodies, I suggest a gift card or a lump of coal, depending on how good they were this year.

Williams Sonoma Truffle & Sea Salt

Truffle Sea Salt

29.95
Foodies love using different seasonings and Italian black truffles have the most unique, rich, wonderful flavor. This is specialty salt from Italy. It would enhance the flavor to grilled meat, roasted potatoes or veggies, or scrambled eggs or an omelette.

Williams Sonoma Cole & Mason Granite Mortar & Pestle

Mortor and Pestle

$49.95
Every foodie needs a mortar and pestle. They can be used to grind garlic, crush whole spices, make pesto, curry paste, and make unique spice mixtures. This one is made from solid black granite. It’s heavyweight and can be used for both wet and dry mixtures. It’s on my wish list!

Crate & Barrel Pizza Grilling Stone

pizza-grilling-stone

$44.95
Homemade pizza is absolutely the best! It’s fun to play with different toppings and make a delicious gourmet pizza for mom and dad and let the kids top their own pizza. A pizza stone will give your crust a great crisp texture just like your favorite pizzeria, only you don’t have to leave the house and you can put as much cheese on it as your heart desires. This grilling stone is my pick because it’s reversible with a ribbed side for burgers, steaks and poultry. Cooking stones get seasoned over time and just get better with age, much like fine wine and women.

Wusthof Classic Hollow-Edge Santokus

Wustof Classic Hollow Edge

$79.96-$99.95

Foodies need good, sharp knives. I used inexpensive (and low quality) knives when I first started living on my own and received my first quality knife about 15 years+ years ago as a gift and I will never, ever, ever go back to a cheap knife again. Nice knives are a splurge, but they will last you forever and make chopping easy. I own this particular knife and I use it almost daily and it’s in perfect condition. I’ll take one in every size, please Santa, if you’re reading this.

Williams Sonoma Infused White Truffle Infused Olive Oil

White Truffle Oil

$24.95

Yes, more truffle. I’m kind of obsessed with truffle. If you have not yet had the truffle experience, please, please stop right here and go order some truffle fries. I have a recipe you can try at home – Baked Truffle Fries with Parmesan Cheese. Truffle oil is great on pizza, potatoes, meat, as a dip for bread, on salads, pasta, risotto – the list is endless.

Tablet Stand

Tablet Stand

$9.99
Tablet stand like this one on Amazon.com. Foodies spend a lot of time in the kitchen (when they are not dining out) and rather than printing out a bunch of recipes from online, it’s much more convenient to just have your tablet on the kitchen counter, but it’s not convenient to lean over and read the text. A table stand is a must-have for anyone that does a lot of cooking. I like this one because it’s adjustable and it has a ton of great reviews.

PL8 Professional Mandoline PL8 1000

Mandolin

$59.98
A professional mandolin is sure to be appreciated by any foodie. I like this one because it’s of professional grade and has a lot of good reviews on Amazon. It also has great bells & whistles including:

  • Slice, julienne and waffle cutting options with four slicing thicknesses
  • Extra-wide, stainless steel slicing deck allows food to glide easily when secured with the safety hand guard
  • Safety hand guard secures food for stable slicing
  • Integrated blades eliminate loose parts
  • Non-skid feet fold in for compact storage

Tasting Wine and Cheese: An Insider’s Guide to Mastering the Principles of Pairing

Wine and Cheese Pairings Book

$19.73
You cannot go wrong with a cookbook for a foodie, but it’s tough to know what books they already own, so give them a gift they most likely do not already own like this wine and cheese pairing guide. I have a friend who is an expert at wine and cheese pairing and she opened a whole new world for me! Sadly, she moved away so I don’t get to go to her parties anymore and dive into the cheese board, but I can still have a great resource in my life. For those not fortunate enough to know a wine and cheese pairing guru, this book will make a terrific gift.

Happy shopping my friends!

I’m sure he would really appreciate having suggestions to make his wife-to-be very happy :). You’re doing him a favor, actually.

  5. Yes! A tablet stand. My tablet is attached to a keyboard so it stands on its own but I always worry that I’m going to spill and short it out.

I have the same setup with mine, but I want stand for the same reason. I think it will be more secure and I won’t have to worry about spilling something on the keyboard.

  6. I LOVE my truffle infused olive oil and salt. In fact, I’m thinking burgers on the grill sprinkled with truffle salt would be delicious this week! I would love a mandolin.. I’m seeing a lot of homemade chips in my future!

I don’t know what I did before truffle oil. I did not think about putting the truffle salt on burgers. Thanks for the awesome idea Carly!

We'd love to hear from you!
